To semi-quote George Carlin, who was quoting his childhood priests, “It’s a mystery.”
That failsafe fallback. Can’t explain why/how etc… use “It’s a mystery” or “It’s part of God’s plan”, or my favorite, “Don’t question God, you just have to accept it all on faith”.
Once upon a time there were some people who were very happy, they lived and they died and they were happy. Then something unexplainable happened and they invented a god to account for this event. then they lived miserably ever after.
