As I recall, it’s this one from the perennial Rankin/Bass Christmas hit “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town. (Sorry I couldn’t find video from the original, but apparently the current copyright owners are enforcing their rights to it.)

You are exactly right! I just felt like he was dancing and singing and wanted something a bit different than our usual choices. Felt like it was more of an old style song & dance routine he was doing LOL.
And they kinda look like claymation people, only their heads aren’t big enough.
