Okay, ya got me. MySpace pages certainly can get a bit “out there” in terms of web design, but they’re still not as bad as some of the crap pages that I can remember seeing on GeoCities. (MySpace seems to have somewhat stricter limits on what can be put on it’s site than GeoCities ever did.)

Luckily, most people these days have at least an inkling of the “do”s and “don’t”s of website design.
I suggest myspace as proof to the contrary.

That wasn’t necessarily GeoCities fault. A lot of the people (yeah, I want to use the word “idiots”; but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt) didn’t know the first thing about website design and wanted to put as much “LOOK AT ME!” stuff on their site as they could. (This was *especially* true of wing-nut religious sites! I swear that some of them could induce an epileptic fit in the unwary…) Luckily, most people these days have at least an inkling of the “do”s and “don’t”s of website design.
